Hello, I'm Kara, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), proudly serving individuals across Ohio—both virtually and in person. I am certified to treat children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. Whether you’re seeking personalized care, emotional support, or guidance for general health and wellness, you’ve come to the right place. My mission is to provide the individualized attention and compassionate care you deserve, while helping guide you toward a more balanced and successful life. With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (BSN), my journey has taken me through diverse healthcare settings, including: Inpatient Mental Health at Cleveland Clinic, Emergency Department at University Hospital and Kaiser, VA
Hospital (inpatient and community mental health services). These experiences have shaped my deep understanding of the challenges many face when navigating mental health. I hold two advanced degrees: MSN in Leadership and Education (Graduated with Honors) Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatry/Mental Health (Graduated with Honors, ANCC Board Certified in 2019).
Over the past six years, I’ve worked in inpatient, outpatient, residential, community mental health, addiction services, and corrections. I am committed to staying at the forefront of psychiatric care through continuous education and the use of evidence-based practices.

Treatment Focus
My primary focus is helping you identify and understand the barriers that may be standing in the way of your personal growth and emotional well-being. You do not have to face these challenges alone. Together, we work toward a healthier, more empowered version of you through compassionate, individualized care.
This process includes developing greater awareness of your inner strengths and gaining clarity around your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. Treatment is provided in a neutral, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can feel safe to be yourself and explore meaningful change.
Care is conveniently offered through secure telehealth from the comfort of your own home. Whether you use a smartphone, tablet, or computer, I provide virtual sessions to individuals anywhere in Ohio, with in-person appointments available for those who prefer face-to-face support.
Treatment approaches may include:
- Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis
- Medication management when appropriate
- Education and supportive therapeutic guidance
- Lifestyle and behavioral strategies
- Select lab testing when clinically indicated
- Discussion of complementary options, including herbal remedies, when appropriate and safe

🗓️ What to Expect
Initial Visit — 60 to 90 Minutes
Your first appointment includes a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, detailed history, and collaborative treatment planning. We will discuss your concerns, goals, and options for care, and develop an individualized plan tailored to your needs.
Follow-Up Appointments — Every 1 to 3 Months (as needed)
Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, reviewing symptoms, and making thoughtful adjustments to your treatment plan to support the best possible outcomes. Frequency of visits is based on clinical needs and individual goals.
